Career guidance
Talk through your options and map out realistic next steps towards the progression you want.
Sometimes the problem isn't the CV or the interview — it's not being sure what you're aiming at. Whether to go for the promotion or wait. Whether to move sector. Whether the thing holding you back is experience, qualifications or confidence.
A career conversation gives you somewhere to think it through with someone who has made those decisions themselves, and comes out of it with a plan rather than a list of options.
What we cover
- Where you are now
- An honest look at your experience, what you're good at, and what you actually want more and less of in a working week.
- What's realistic next
- The roles genuinely open to you now, the ones a step beyond, and what stands between you and them.
- Closing the gap
- Whether that's experience you can pick up in your current role, a qualification worth having, or simply applying for things you've been talking yourself out of.
- A plan you'll follow
- Specific next steps with an order and a rough timescale, not a vague intention to keep an eye out.
What it costs
Ways to work on this
These are the options that include it. If you’re not sure which is right, ask — we’d rather tell you than have you pay for more than you need.
Common questions
- Do I need to know what I want before I book?
- Not at all — that's usually the reason people book. Turning up unsure is a perfectly good starting point.
- Do you work with people in any industry?
- Yes. The specifics of a sector matter less than you'd think; progression, applications and interviews work in much the same way across most of them.
- Is one session enough?
- For a specific decision, often yes. If you want to work through the plan and then act on it, the 4-week programme is designed for exactly that.
